Eligibility Criteria
Core Focus & Citizenship
Available to students and allied health professionals furthering their education in a healthcare field involving direct patient care. Applicants must be a permanent Resident of the United States or a U.S. Citizen.
Geographic Priority
Any resident of the TCMH service area (40-mile radius of Houston) is eligible. Priority consideration is given to Texas County and Mtn. Grove residents, or high school graduates of a Texas County school or the Mtn. Grove R-III School District.
TCMH Employees & Family
All TCMH employees and family members residing in their households are eligible. Preference may be given to eligible staff with a current 90-day history of satisfactory employment at TCMH.
Academics & Selection
Must be accepted to or currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary program. Selection preferences include community service, scholastic record, and work performance. Past recipients may re-apply (must maintain a 3.0+ GPA).
Note: Applicants may be asked to appear and interview before the committee prior to a final decision. The financial award is contingent upon enrollment to an accredited program. The TCMH Healthcare Foundation’s decisions are final.
